ZurnOnly post I can see there is Lu's. I can't remember if I posted my mileage or not. I got my bike in Feb with 4 miles on her. She now has 6700 and counting. Not that this is official or anything, but I am still having fun. I am guessing first snow around halloween like usual for So. Dak.

RetroMy bad....strange deal going on with the forum. This post is in the archive, so it is a locked topic. I can see all the posts as an admin, but if I log off, I just see Lu's post as well. Looks like I have some work to do.... Ride safe! Retro

rwd407Awww MAN!!! that's not fair!!! y'all's ridin' season runs at the time when the heat and afternoon monsoons conspire to keep me off the bike... heck.... well i'm sittin' now at about 4200... okay,,, i say we run a milage contest that begins November 1st and ends March 1st. I may not win that one either, but at least i might be competitive.... sheesh..... Ron 2002 Yamaha V-Star 1100 Classic.
TheKingWhat do you think guys? Since Retro sent everyone to a bad post...he is fined 1500 miles!
MidniteRoadyGuess I missed out on the contest - had my bike about 410 days, have 16,250 miles on it. Farmer Mike 01 MidnightStar "I don't wanna pickle, just wanna ride my motorcickle"
KCLuI only made it up to about 3700 miles, so I'm pretty much out of it. I'll have to check Choo Choo's mileage & post it soon. Ride safe & Sparkly! Lu
RetroTrust me, King...with all the time I spend caging it back and forth to Minnesota this summer, that negative 1,500 would prolly put me in the hole ! Actually, 2Retro is up to 12,502. I guess that makes me the winner with 5,074 miles...right?? Ride safe! Retro

"Life may begin at 30, but it get's real interesting around 150."
squirrel272I entered this contest KNOWING I wouldn't come close to winning... but come on, retro... the riding season can't be over yet, it's just starting to cool down a little! Anyway... I'm up to 23,098
Dustman19041 miles on the raadstar last year and just ober 14700 miles on Ol'Chunka so far this year. Missed out on Sturgis this year so the toatal is down. Sure hope the gang will be there in 2003 because we will definitely be there then. Dustman
DustmanMan I just read my last post. Believe it or not I REALLY CAN spell. I Just can't type worth a darn LOL Dustman
bikeralanLooks like the old 'nekid' wing has the most accumulated, but not the most travelled, 60,958, we have put on approx 5,300 so far. we usually kick the season off with the Blessing of the Bikes the Sunday after Mother's Day, was 34 deg this year, heard about that one for a while! Has been one of the warmest summers here in Mich I can remember for a long while, to bad work screws up a perfect riding season. Alan
Sgt.BAwinner has been decided!!!!! ME ME ME I decided Im the winner so no whining.... And I get all the great prizes woooohoooo!!!!Someone say somthing about the winner getting a torch?
bearwho in their right mind would ever think about giving you a real torch, he who pee's on his own boots, and a lot to I might add Joe [the bear] noli illegitimi carborundum
tomjohnsonMy mileage is at16645.3 as of now does that make me the winner yet? The contest ends on Halloween right I kinda have a medical problem keeping from riding this week kinda in the groin area hard to set on the seat. Ride Safe Tom
GulbieOk I am sucking hind tit here. 7644 on the Vic so only 4423 so far this year but summer ain't over yet right? Bob

hawkeye13620.3 since 6-15-01 I'm trying
1wildhair Better re-check that, Retro. Unless my odometer is going the wrong way, 'cuz it's just about to 15K now. Gulbie & FXBS think their in last place? I'll be the only one with negative milage ! I think it should have been 6,071 maybe. I should get 10 or 11K before Halloween. Red ISRA #4151 "Life is short & the Road is long - Enjoy your ride" SNOW SUX !!
RetroWhoops! Sorry about that Red. The correct mileage is on there now. Maybe you been riding in reverse ?? Ride safe! Retro

"Life may begin at 30, but it get's real interesting around 150."
jackhammerWell geez, this is the first I've heard about this contest. For what it's worth, I bought my V-Star new in mid-April of this year. 63 more miles and I'll break the 10,000 mile mark. http://www.geocities.com/hammersvstar/Home.html
1wildhair6,290 - now that looks a little more like it ! I haven't been able to find that reverse gear on my V-Star. Hammer - contest was discussed sometime in April - while we were all whining about cold & snow. We all posted our mileage on May 1 - Runs May 1 - Oct 31 - 6 full months. Most mileage gets a UB T and bragging rights until Oct. 31 2003. Sounds like you'd a been right in there near the top. Red ISRA #4151 "Life is short & the Road is long - Enjoy your ride" SNOW SUX !!
KCLuI feel like such a big girl, I turned over 4,000 miles on Zin today on the way home from the Bikers for Babies ride. Ride safe & Sparkly! Lu
Sgt.BDon't worry about getting in late Jackhammer, I have already won anyway!!! I keep telling these guys that but for some reason the wont give me my torch!!!!

derwoodskiWell I have been a busy boy...mileage as of 9\16 on the 650 V-star was 12911. On 9\16 bought a 00'1100 v-star that had 256 miles on it ...as of 9\24 it has 1084 (still have the 650 the wife is taking the msf class in october) D
Derwoodski '01 V-Star Classic ISRA#8901
FXSBsince it is November 1st and the mileage contest officially ended on October 31st I thought I would bring this post to the forefront. How did everybody do? Personally I am a little embarrassed by the lack of mileage I did this year, but every mile of road was fun. So here goes: Mistress Started with 56,808.8 and ended with 59,401.4 Mistress 2 Started at 8 miles and ended with 1833 Let's see what everybody else did. "Gray-hair bikers don't get that way by accident"
RetroThis should be depressing....since my mileage has dropped significantly in the last 6 weeks. Looks like I now have 12,941 miles on 2Retro. That's just 5,513 miles for me... Bear prolly beat that in a week ! Ride safe! Retro

"Life may begin at 30, but it get's real interesting around 150."
KCLuI only made it up to 4,204, which makes 3,424 miles for Zin & I... oh well, I'll ride harder, longer, faster next year. Ride Safe & Sparkly! Lu
http://tomandlu.homestead.com/files/BITCHDOM.htm
squirrel272Well... I obviously couldn't compete with the big boys, but I ended up with 23,258 from 21,764. That's 1,494 miles and I enjoyed every single one of 'em... even the windy ones across Kansas!
GulbieOk now you have gotten me depressed. I saw this post and ran out to the garage to check my milage. Between the chitty fall we had, all the freakin hours I put in for work and missing the ride to KC, I have put on a whopping 73 miles on the Vic since my last post 9/11/02. The Vic has 7717 on her so that is only 4496 for the year. I hang my head in shame. Bob

"Happiness is best pursued with horsepower"
beartotal on both bikes was 17,193 miles travled...all good miles with all my new friends, it was a great summer for riding and a better one next year I hope... Joe [the bear] noli illegitimi carborundum
Heath568I checked mine on the way out the door for work this morning. Looks like 6214 miles from June 1- Oct 31st. Looking forward to next seasons miles already. Heath 02 Road King
GiovanniLooks like some real impressive mileage there. I've not done it this year but I did 20th April 2001 to 19th April 2002. Look forward to taking part next year Do you do whole years? or only the summer/fall months.
FXSBThe April 1 to October 31 time just goes to show you how nice these folks really are. Those of us in the northern climates in the US have to contend with below zero temps and lots of snow and ice on the roads, so to keep us in it, they only check the riding season that we have. "Gray-hair bikers don't get that way by accident"
1wildhairI ended Oct at 15231 so that gives me 8941 miles for the season. It has been the coldest, crappiest weather up here. Way cold, way too long this spring and now way too cold, way too early this fall. We've had several snow days already. I haven't been riding since mid-Sept. Riding season ends, but hunting season begins. Life is good. Red ISRA #4151 "Life is short & the Road is long - Enjoy your ride" SNOW SUX !!

Congrats, aren't they nice? Let's see pic's, what color? what add on's? Here's to you... "Gray-hair bikers don't get that way by accident"
ANVNTLost the roll of roll that had the first day home pics so I am in the process of taking new ones. As for colour-it is black (if I could get everything black I would), addons-none (but over the winter I will be changing the pipes to Vance&Hines 2into1 Propipe (wish they came black) and swapping the handlebars for real drag bars. also lowering it and getting black lower legs and triple trees. FXSB what have you done to yours? Ride until there is snow on the ground! Finally got my toy-03 NightTrain

Not much so far, the standards like sissy bar, pad, Bobtail rack, Mini tach, I do have Arlen Ness extended forwards, Kuryakyn chrome tailpiece covers. In the future I am looking to change the handlebars, pipes, and do some custom paint on the bobtail and oil tank. Been too busy riding to make any real changes yet, picked it up 9/27/02 and have 1900 miles on her so far. "Gray-hair bikers don't get that way by accident"

Sgt.BBear, Congrats on the mileage contest. Looks like you started enjoying the life of retirement a bit early by those numbers. You need to get a digital camera and put pictures with those great stories your about to start posting. No Dolphin pictures and no pictures of my evil twin. Again Congrats!!!
KCLuB man, I GOT yer evil twin... and a story to go along with it... thought I'd call it "Full Moon Over Glencoe". Ride Safe & Sparkly! Lu
