just stopping by to say hey....
uniquelyHello...I am new to this site and thought I would introduce myself... My name is Tracy and i have ridden for quite sometime. However , as a passenger. Soon i hope to be riding my own but till then i will stay with my man.(BTW, He is on this forum but hasn't been in - in a while) Most of my riding has been crusiers and harleys but now it seems that i have found a new interset. Umm, sportbikes have become the flavor of the day. At the moment i don't have my own bike so there fore no pic to post yet. Maybe soon. Well, i know it's kinda vauge but for now dis is me. Hope to talk with ya'll soon. T
RetroWelcome Tracy! Any thoughts on the make/model of sport bike you're looking for? Thanks for stopping by and saying hey! Ride safe! Retro

KCLuWelcome to the forum Tracy! Its good to see more women coming to the board! And, it doesn't matter what half of the bike you ride, just so you ride! I go both ways, LOL! I have my own bike, but I still love riding on the back of Choo Choo's bike from time to time. These guys are really knowledgeable about all kinds of bikes, if you need info, you came to the right place. Welcome! Ride safe & Sparkly! Lu
uniquelyHey Thanx.. Right now it looks like i may be starting on a Kawasaki Ninja 250. He has to have it lowered before i can get my feet on the ground flat footed. Seems i wasn't graced with long legs. We ususally go out on either his Honda 900 or his track bike which he has on the street right now... Live to ride.. Ride to live.. I just wish he would tell me which bike we are riding so i can dress to fit...
PJDHey Tracy, thanks for stoppin' by, and c'mon back soon.

FXSBWelcome Tracy, Lu's being too modest... Lots of women on this forum know a bunch also. Just ask, one thing about this forum it's not short on opinions... LOL "Gray-hair bikers don't get that way by accident"
MidniteRoadyHow-D Tracy I'm a newbie on here also, so just have at it. Don't be shy...I've posted all kinds of wackey stuff and they haven't kicked me off yet...so far..well maybe after this post... And just like Lu said: 'Its good to see more women coming to the board!' However, I strongly disagree with a sentence later in her post: 'I go both ways, LOL!' (not that there's anything wrong with that) OUCH!! - Lu just slapped me from 225 miles away... Farmer Mike 01 MidnightStar "I don't wanna pickle, just wanna ride my motorcickle"
KCLuTracy, I would strongly recommend a Motorcycle Safety Foundation course, they have very good courses for anyone at any riding skilll level... http://www.msf-usa.org/ You can find one in your area from their web site. I took one when I decided to get back on my own bike last fall, after a 20+ year break from riding. It was invaluable! It was a confidence builder, showed me exactly which skills I really needed to work on, and reinforced what I knew from previous experience. Of course, there are still LOTS of things I need to work on, the U Turn thing in particular, but at least I'm aware of my skill deficits, and I'm working on them. Even Bear will tell you that ya gotta practice. But, remember, its ok to take breaks... if yer rattled, its time to pile off that scooter for awhile, always go at your own pace... and remember, if they won't ride at your comfort level they aren't your friends and you shouldn't be riding with them any way. I've been real lucky to have folks who would ride with me at whatever pace I was comfortable with... Retro rode almost 400 miles with me one day, at a pace much slower than he generally rides. And when the rain started falling and I got all freaky and had to ride really really slow, he was cool with that too. Now THAT'S a buddy! We both survived that ride to enjoy some killer times with other close buds. Enjoy your learning experience, listen to your gut, that's what its there for. Ride safe & Sparkly! Lu

Live to ride.. Ride to live.. I just wish he would tell me which bike we are riding so i can dress to fit...

Live to ride.. Ride to live.. I just wish he would tell me which bike we are riding so i can dress to fit...
JimHey Tracy Welcome! You will find more varied opinions here than any other site I have found. We are all "experts" and not afraid to voice our opinions. Pretty darn refreshing after dropping in on most of the other sites. I looked at your profile and see that you are from my home town, "The Gem City". Lots of bikes there and lots of racing. Take those MSF lessons and RIDE ON Jim AMA Ironbutt Association Jimmy is not very sharing and does not play well with others First grade report card 19--
