MidniteRoadyBeen looking, but don't see what I need to find. Found a 1903 Indian....am I close? Farmer Mike 01 MidnightStar "I don't wanna pickle, just wanna ride my motorcickle" Edited by - MidniteRoady on 09/30/2002 23:00:44
MidniteRoadyMore digging and found this on the Indian site- - "The 1907 Twin, with its 39 cubic inch engine producing 4hp." Farmer Mike 01 MidnightStar "I don't wanna pickle, just wanna ride my motorcickle"
RetroYup...that's the answer I had. There is a lot of misinformation out there...I have seen accounts of 1903, 1904, and 1905 being the first year of the production V-Twin. Ride safe! Retro

MidniteRoadyNow I can't even find the link where I saw 1903.... The Indian site in the 1906 time line says something like 'testing V Twin. Must be close in there somewhere... So, Do you need my address to send the TV I won? Farmer Mike 01 MidnightStar "I don't wanna pickle, just wanna ride my motorcickle"
RetroNope...you get what's behind Door #3! Look... NOTHING!!! Ride safe! Retro

KCLu This is a 1903... look close, I can't tell, is that a V Twin? Ride safe & Sparkly! Lu
RetroNope, not a V-Twin. HD didn't even begin prototyping a V-Twin until 1907. In 1903 HD only made 3 bikes (not 3 different models - 3 bikes total) and they were a single cyclinder design. Ride safe! Retro

RetroIt's amazing what you learn just trying to come up with a trivia question. When I did the Lawrence of Arabia one I was positive that he died on a Vincent Black Shadow. I even found a page that told me this was true: http://www.angelfire.com/wi/VinWidow/ But alas, just because you read it on the Net doesn't make it true. As we all know (from reading UB trivia), TE Lawrence died on a Brough Superior. It's tough coming up with good trivia ...especially questions that this crew can't answer. Ride safe! Retro
