| PJD | Ok I see what he's up to. Actually the tank is being "fattened" rather than stretched, a much easier task from what I've seen. Fattening will give more capacity withiut changing the 'low point' in the tank. If the tank were stretched front to back (usually by adding to the rear and involving more complicated fabrication) and followed the line of the bike the low point would change accordingly. If the fuel lines and petcock weren't moved to the new low point (cutting a new hole and patching the old one)there would be no gain since the fuel would lay in the new extension (below the draw tubes) and never be used. An outfit named "Fattank" makes these for @ $5-600.00. Just incase B has any unforseen problems he can look them up. They come through primered only (I think) but what the hey, you guys know a good painter
